Pseudomonas aeruginos is a gram negative bacteria that can cause Infections in human bodies when there is favourable condition. It is found in the environment.

It cause chronic biofilm infection in the lungs of Cystic fibrosis patients. The matrix of the biofilm is the alginate which is a polysaccharide and it is the major cause of lung damage in Cystic fibrosis patients.

The growth of the biofilm in the Cystic fibrosis patients is due to constant change in DNA, slower growth and favourable conditions that help the bacteria to survive.
