Exposition is the intro to the novel. All the background information that is either the entire first part of the novel, or spread throughout. Rising action is the events that thicken the plot to propel it to the conflict and make the novel more interesting and lifelike. I think a circular narrative is one that ends like it started (comes full circle), maybe repeating exact passages, or simply referencing the events at the beginning of the novel. I don't know what the other types mean, but you can google them. Plot devices are all the things that a writer uses to develop the plot, like symbolism, similes, metaphors, foil (characters meant to be contrasting to one another while also similar to reveal something else to the reader), imagery, type of conflict, etc. Since they specifically mentioned foreshadowing and flashback, maybe that was in the work you were reading??

Organizational choices are things like syntax. How long are most of the sentences? If they are typically short, but one in a paragraph is long, the author may be trying to draw attention to the ideas in that sentence. Chapter organization and paragraph organization is also something to consider when analyzing the organizational choices, as well as the other plot devices they used throughout the novel and the type of narrative. So this question is asking for you to analyze how the author developed the narrative, and basically telling you what types of things you should be including in your analysis (plot devices, organization, type of narrative).

Hope that helps!

GREYUIT [131]

Answer:

Not A cuz it just tells that there was a gift

Not B cuz it's Sean (the receiver)  who feels good, not the giver (Logan)

Not C cuz it just explains how Logan afforded it

Explanation:

D. Logan smiled as Sean leaped from his chair to give him a huge hug!

The theme is GIVING a gift to someone you love can make YOU feel good. This means the giver should feel good, or happy, therefore D. is correct.

What does ironic mean
leva [86]

Explanation:

If something is ironic it's unexpected, often in an amusing way. If you're the world chess champion, it would be pretty ironic if you lost a match to someone who just learned to play yesterday. Ironic is the adjective for the noun irony. In contemporary speech, when we call something ironic, we often mean sarcastic.
