The personal responsibility and work opportunity reconciliation act of 1996 is an act that was signed into law by President Clinton that ensured that a time limited welfare/assistance is given for work therefore changing the nations standing welfare plans. and it also gave states the ability to implement welfare packages to workers.

This act was badly flt by single mothers who were receiving welfare packages which was wasn't corresponding to the amount of work that they put in and this act increased the rate of homelessness and poverty because the states had the power in this act to even eliminate Welfare packages been given before the Act was signed into law

So i would say it was a bad Act .
