While the Vietnam war started the cold war was already happening so the US thought fighting in Vietnam War would be an indirect way to fight w/ the Soviet Union.

Hammurabi's Code inspired many countries to do the same, which led to monarchs being less powerful and was another step in the direction of democracy.
