Hi there! Hopefully this helps!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer: j = -7

You can also rewrite the equation(replace "j" with the answer):

-1.68(-7) + 1.24 = 13.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How I solved it:
-1.68j + 1.24 = 13.
We subtract 1.24 from both sides.
-1.68j = 13 - 1.24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

-1.68j = 13 - 1.24

We subtract 1.24 from 13 to get 11.76.

-1.68j = 11.76

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-1.68j = 11.76
We then divide both sides by -1.68.
j = \frac{11.76}{-1.68}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Expand \frac{11.76}{-1.68} ≈ -7 by multiplying both the numerator and the denominator by 100.

j = \frac{1176}{-168}

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Divide 1176 by -168 to get -7.
To solve this question you have to use the quadratic equation. So since the problem is already in standard form it will be pretty easy. So the quadratic equation is x=-b±√b²-4ac/2a. Not sure if it makes sense through a computer xD Anywho, you just have to input the values in the equation into the quadratic equation. From your problem a=3 b=6 and c=15. So just substitute those into the quadratic equation then simplify. In the end you should get -6±12i/6. Divide everything by 6 and you should get -1±2i!
The correct answer is -1±2i
