solve 3(2x-1)-10=8=5x l had this question so many times in past 2 weeks in my algebra exams and l still dont know how to solve i
Nat2105 [25]
Alright, so to understand algebra
use PEMDAS
parenthasees
exponents (square roots count as exponents)
multiply or divide
add or subtract

basically try to isolate the unknown/vareable/xterm
so

3(2x-1)-10=8+5x (assuming you meant to type 8+5x and not 8=5x)

first distribute using distributive property
a(b+c)=ab+ac
3(2x-1)=3 times 2x+3 times -1=6x-3
6x-3-10=8+5x
add like terms
6x-13=8+5x
subtract 5x from both sides
x-13=8
add 13 to both sdies
x=21

What is the common difference in the following arithmetic sequence? n an 1 –12 2 –1 3 10 4 21 –11 –1 1 11
aivan3 [116]

Answer:

11 is the common difference of the given sequence.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here the given sequence is

Terms           1          2           3        4

Sequence   -12       -1          10        21

Now we know the arithmetic sequence is -12, -1, 10, 21.........n terms

common difference of an arithmetic sequence is represented as difference of nth term and (n-1)th term.

Therefore common difference d = -1 - (-12) = -1 +12 = 11

common difference 11 is the right answer.

Can you please solve the following equation?
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

x=3.903

Step-by-step explanation:

2^{x-3}.5^{x-1}=200\\2^x.2^{-3}.5^x.5^{-1}=200\\\frac{2^x}{2^3}.\frac{5^x}{5^1}=200\\\frac{2^x.5^x}{2^3.5}=200\\\frac{(2.5)^x}{8.5}=200\\10^x=200 \times 40\\10^x=8000\\log 10^x=log8000\\x=\frac {log8000}{log10}=log8000=log 8\times log1000=log 8+log 1000=log2^3+log10^3=3log2+3log10=3log2+3 \approx0.903+3 \approx3.903
