Answer:

Discourse, which has to do with talk, words, language, etc have a very huge impact on a person's culture and identity.

First of all, what is culture?  Culture can be described as the way of life of a group of people

Identity is the totality of a person's being or it can also be defined as the qualities or beliefs that make a group.

Therefore, the way a person talks and the language he uses (discourse) influences his identity and culture because it is a major tool for communication and it is a unifying factor.

As a young boy in high school who had always envied ambidexterity in people, i was determined to write with my both hands. Due to this determination, after being dared and underrated by my best friend, i wrote a whole page with my both hands simultaneously. After this singular experience, i entertained fear that this ability was just a mistake and could not repeat itself, it never did.

I loved going to the farm everyday, going for choir practice on weekends, and playing chess with my siblings every evening. All these activities, except farming , stopped as soon as i became a young adult. I still go to farm everyday.

Firdavs [7]

The correct answers are B. To learn about traveling to Italy and D. TO learn about Mark Twain

Explanation:

In the excerpt, Mark Twain describes his experiences while visiting Italy; this includes a detailed description of the places he visited such as the Leaning Tower and the Duomo (cathedral), as well as his impression of the places. For example, in "makes your flesh creep, and convinces you for a single moment in spite of all your philosophy" Twain describes his thoughts and emotions when he tried to see the base of the leaning tower.

According to this, the two purposes that fit the content of this text are to learn about traveling to Italy because the text focuses on describing important touristic places in this country; and to learn about Mark Twain because the text is a memoir of Mark Twain, and therefore shows readers the life, emotions, and experiences of this writer.
