Answer:

Distinction given as under

Explanation:

  • Photoionization detectors (PID) and Flame Ionization detectors are sensitive low range gas vapor instruments that are optimized to detect different gases.
  • An FID is larger and heavier than PID, it used the ionized frame to ionize sample gas, to determine its concentration. However its less cost and less reliable than PID.
  • FIDs are generally not impacted by humidity, so they may be a better choice than PIDs for this type of climate. Fid produce very different rating than Pid.
  • FID cannot detect organic substances., and its flame oxidizes all oxidants that pass through it. Its advantage isit cost and low maintains as compared to others.

saul85 [17]

Answer:

Answer is D. Transform faults.

Explanation:

The transform fault is situation where the tectonic plates slide past one another. It can also be described as a conservative boundaries because it does lead to the creation or destruction of crust. But , the build up of pressure between two plates along the faults can produce earthquakes.

In this case, volcanoes settings can not be found in the transform faults because there is absence of volcanoes vent, which will allow the passage of the molten rock to the surface.

What would you call a system that develops on the coast and tracks along the coast towards higher latitudes
user100 [1]
Tropical oceans spawn approximately 80 tropical storms annually, and about two-thirds are severe (category 1 or higher on the Saffir-Simpson scale of intensity). Almost 90 percent of these storms form within 20° north or south of the Equator. Poleward of those latitudes, sea surface temperatures are too cool to allow tropical cyclones to form, and mature storms moving that far north or south will begin to dissipate.
