Well,
First I would like to explain how to convert a mixed number or fraction into a decimal.
1. First if it's a mixed number change it into an improper fraction.
2. After that divide the numerator by the denominator.
3. Your finished as simple as that.
NOW FOR THE ACTUAL ANSWER
well I turned 53 1/3 into an improper fraction which came out to be 160/3. After the division the decimal came to be 53.3333(etc)
I did it in the calculator and everything so I'm almost positive I did this correctly haha)
I hope I helped.
And I really enjoyed answering this since I knew you weren't just looking for an answer but for the reason behind it and how to do it hahah.
Chebyshev came up with the
limits on how much or how many of the data must lie close to the mean. In specific
for any positive k, the proportion of the data that lies within k standard
deviations of the mean is at least:
1 - 1/k²
In this problem the
mean is 47 yrs therefore:
(47 – 17.3) = 29.7 = (76.7 - 47)
The value of k is
calculated using the formula:
29.7 / 11 = 2.7 = k
So the % of gym members
aged between 19.4 and 76.6 is:
1 - 1 / (2.6)² = 0.863 = 86.3 %
Therefore 86.3% of the
gym members are aged between 19.4 and 76.6
Answer:
Area = 22.3 m^2
Perimeter 27.4 m^2
Step-by-step explanation:
Perimeter = __ m
Area __ m^2
The area of the triangle is about 4.2,
The area of the square is 4,
The area of the semicircle is 14.1,
14.1 + 4.2 + 4 = 22.3
Area = 22.3 m^2
9.4 + 6 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 27.4
Perimeter = 27.4 m^2
Therefore the area of the shape is about 22.3 m^2 and the perimeter is about 27.4 m^2.
We square the residuals when using the least-squares line method to find the line of best fit because we believe that huge negative residuals (i.e., points well below the line) are just as harmful as large positive residuals (i.e., points that are high above the line).

What do you mean by Residuals?

We treat both positive and negative disparities equally by squaring the residual values. We cannot discover a single straight line that concurrently minimizes all residuals. The average (squared) residual value is instead minimized.
We might also take the absolute values of the residuals rather than squaring them. Positive disparities are viewed as just as harmful as negative ones under both strategies.
