A group of sixth grade students dedicate their day off of school for "Columbus Day" to the Native, First Nation peoples who were

decimated as a result of Columbus’s "voyage" by learning about Native American cultures, customs, and histories. They use this new knowledge to build accurate models of missionization for their final California Mission Projects, reflecting native people's perspectives of the brutal history of California Missions and demonstrating that although they suffered tremendously, some Native Peoples of California survived and are now thriving and revitalizing their culture, reclaiming their sovereignty of their ancestral lands. What is the history of the Ku Klux Klan?
mr Goodwill [35]

The Ku Klux Klan began in 1866 in Tennessee as an organization of Confederate veterans of the Civil War.  They derived the name "Ku Klux" from the Greek word κύκλος (<em>kuklos) ,</em> which means circle.  The group became a resistance movement against radical Reconstruction in the South, seeking to intimidate blacks and restore white supremacy.  The group carried out many acts of extreme violence, and acts in Congress and a decision by the Supreme Court <em>(United States v. Harris, </em>1882) went against the Klan.  By that time, though, the Klan had mostly stopped operating because it had pretty much achieved its goal:  white dominance in the South.

A revived version of the Klan appeared again beginning in 1915, expanding its target beyond blacks to Jews and others.  At its height in the 1920s, this revived version of the Ku Klux Klan had more than 4 million members.  Today it is a fringe group in the US, with only a few thousand members.

What was the first country to move social contract theory from theory to practice?
denpristay [2]

Answer:

The answer is "Greek"

Explanation:

Social contract theory, almost as old as philosophy itself, is the view that people's good or potentially political commitments are needy upon an agreement or arrangement among them to shape the general public in which they live. Socrates use something very like an Social contract theory to disclose to Crito why he should stay in jail and acknowledge capital punishment. Nonetheless, Social contract theory is properly connected with current good and political hypothesis and is given its first full work and guard by Thomas Hobbes. After Hobbes, John Locke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau are the most popular defenders of this gigantically persuasive hypothesis, which has been one of the most predominant speculations inside good and political hypothesis since the commencement of the cutting edge West. In the 20th century, good and political hypothesis recaptured philosophical force because of John Rawls' Kantian rendition of implicit understanding hypothesis, and was trailed by new examinations of the subject by David Gauthier and others.

All the more as of late, thinkers from alternate points of view have offered new reactions of implicit understanding hypothesis. Specifically, women's activists and race-cognizant thinkers have contended that Social contract theory is in any event an inadequate image of our good and political lives, and may truth be told disguise a portion of the manners by which the agreement is itself parasitical upon the oppression of classes of people.
