Oligarchy is a form of a power structure where all the power rests in the hands of a small number of people. The people can be distinguished military or religious figures, nobles, wealthy people etc. These states are often controlled by a few prominent families, and they pass this influence from one generation to the next.

The American colonist did not have enough justification to rebel against great Britain. American colonists wanted freedom from being controlled by Britain. How ever American colonist brutally controlled the African Americans, and subjected them to harsh slavery. They were hypocritical to request freedom, but enslave innocent people.
