like a week before graduation we have to get the gown to see if it fits, usually some people throw parties afterwards. and on graduation we have to sit outside (we can sit wherever). the student president says a speech then passes it on the the principal and he or she says a speech. Then they start to call everyone in alphabetical order to get their diploma, after that is done they say a brief speech and then everyone throws their hat up and then take pictures with friends and relatives. and then a party with friends or relatives.

Colin is comparing a pair of sonnets for a paper he’s writing. He is looking at the following sections: …Never did sun more beau
dlinn [17]

Answer:

B. The two sections have different rhyme schemes and the same meter.

Explanation:

When you arrange properly the poems that Colin is comparing, you can see that the rhyme scheme in the first one is ABAB and in the second one it is ABBA, so they have different rhyme schemes, but as they both are sonnets they have to have the same meter, so they share the same iambic pentameter that has 10 syllables per verse.

Here the arranged poems with their rhyme scheme:

Never did sun more beautifully steep A

In his first splendour, valley, rock, or hill; B

Ne'er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep! A

The river glideth at his own sweet will… B

Much have I traveled in the realms of gold,A

And many goodly states and kingdoms seen;B

Round many western islands have I been B

Which bards in fealty to Apollo hold… A

Which statement best shows the central idea that South Africa wishes to regain its place among other nations?
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

have today been given the rare privilege to be host to the nations of the world on our own soil."

Explanation:

This statement is the answer to the question because when Mandela states this, it shows that she wants to make South Africa's standards rise among other countries, and she wants the country to get more developed. This statement also describes they want to become more standarized on their own soil.

Why is English such a difficult subject?
Gala2k [10]
This, on the other hand, is a big, interesting book. Native English-speakers intuitively know what order to put words in, but this is hard to teach to those learning the language. The difference between the right and wrong order is so subtle that it's hard to explain beyond simply saying that it “just sounds right” I find it simple but we all have our own opinions..

Choose the sentence that contains an ADJECTIVE clause.
svlad2 [7]
I believe that sentence 2 is the correct answer.

The ball, that was yellow and made of rubber, bounced down the road.

Our clause is : "that was yellow and made of rubber." This describes the features of the ball, which is the noun. Adjectives describes nouns therefore this sentence would be the correct answer!
