They believed it would weaken the Central Government. The Federalists believed in a strong Central Government, and they didn't want it to lose it's implied powers.

Answer:

The Federalists considered that the Louisiana Purchase was something unconstitutional.

Explanation:

The Federalists did not agree with the Louisiana Purchase because they thought it would affect them in terms of politics. They thought that the different states that would not be considered into the Purchase, would not be Federalist but Democratic-Republican.

They rejected the Purchase because of Constitutional grounds. They considered that the Constitution would not allow the President to do some things. For example, buying a territory. However, historians think that the real reason was related to their fear to lose political power.

How did the dred scott decision supported the doctrine of nullification and limit the ability of the federal government to restr
grigory [225]
The Dred Scott Supreme Court case ruled that slaves are property and are allowed in all states/territories, even if slavery is outlawed in the state constitution.

This idea supports the concept of nullification, as states that abolished slavery would nullify (refuse) to follow this ruling because they felt it was unconstitutional.

This idea also limited the power of the federal government to restrict the expansion of slavery because the court ruled that slaves do not have legal rights and are considered property no matter where they go. This meant that slavery can essentially exist anywhere in the US and the federal government couldn't change that unless they made a national law/amendment that outlawed slavery.

Travka [436]

The other options of the question were A) He was shorter than average but appeared to have a scholarly face. B) He was extremely tall, muka taller than average, with a serious face. C) He was of average height and build, with a serious face.

The reading described Charles’s physical appearance as "He was large but not overly tall, with a merry face."

We are talking about Charlemagne, better known as Charles the Great. He was one of the greatest Franks and conquered a large portion of Western European territories. He supported the church and the pope, and everywhere he conquered, he forced people to convert to Christianity. Indeed, the relationship with the church was so good that Pope Leo III crown Charles as the emperor. This act increased the power and presence of the Catholic Church over Europe.
