I believe the war was inevitable.
At that time, having slaves were considered a normal norm. The majority of southern states economy was built on the foundation of slave labor.
Even if we set aside the morality factors, The southern people aware that eliminating slavery would force the southern states into economic crisis.
so,  the only way for our country to eliminate the slavery is through force.

In my opinion, due to the series of past events, the war was inevitable. The nation was really divided and hurt. The northerners that supported the abolition of slavery demanded the end of slavery in the southern states. On the other hand, the southern states supported slavery because their economy depended so much on slaves and they never accepted the claims of the north. Southerners needed slaves in the large plantations to grow crops that had to be exported to Europe, and that represented big business. The Civil War was the next logical step in this series of events.
