Answer:
It took climate change, fertile river valleys, domestication of crops and animals so that the hunter-gatherers became sedentary farmers.
Explanation:
Initially, all humans were hunter-gatherers. This was due to multiple reasons, with one the biggest one probably being the climate which was not enabling good conditions for the hunter-gatherers to transform their lifestyle. All other conditions needed were stopped because of the climate conditions, so humans had to do what they could to survive in those conditions.
About 10 years ago though the bad climate conditions ended, or rather the Ice Age ended. This resulted in a much warmer climate, which in turn created much more water bodies like rivers and lakes, much more vegetation, and they contributed to the creation of much more fertile soil.
With these conditions in place, the humans quickly saw that there is huge potential in some plants and animals, so they started to farm them, select the ones with the best characteristics, and gradually producing enough food for themselves. With the food problem solved, humans didn't have the need to wonder around all the time, so they started abandoning the hunter-gatherer lifestyle and started settling in one place.
Answer:
B. charles lyell
Explanation:
He is associated with the Laws of uniformitarianism and the idea that earth is shaped by natural process operational even today and contrast catastrophism, he is considered a pioneer in climate change and shifting boundaries between oceans and continents. His publications works are on the principles of geology.
Answer:
The strength of the sun can cause droughts and dry land. Water can cause weathering and erosion (breaking away at land) snow can cause avalanches to break things and land rain can cause floods and and also can cause weathering to break away and make land smaller
The reason why the Midwestern United States have a very fertile soil, but Canada doesn't, despite both of them being covered by glaciers until relatively recently, and both having the same age of soil, is the climate and vegetation.
Canada is much colder than the Midwest, its winters are longer, and the summers mild, while the Midwest has higher temperatures, prolonged period of drought, and seasonal rainfall.
Because of this, Canada has been covered by coniferous forests. They leave relatively little biomass, and also the climate is making the decomposition of the biomass very slow, thus resulting in relatively poor soil quality.
In the Midwest, the climate is perfect for the development of the grasslands. The grasses grown and die each year. They live a lot of biomass, and the higher temperatures contribute that the biomass decomposes pretty quickly, thus resulting in good quality soil.
Well, if you look at the ocean from a standing point of view, it's pretty flat and water is spread all around the surface. Because of this, most people would assume that ocean is just flat and smooth.
Thanks to the discovery of science, we're able to go down deep and learn that there is more to the ocean than we knew about. =)
Hope that helps! -UnicornFudge aka Nadia
