How is Scrooge developed in the Christmas Carol
ASHA 777 [7]
Ebenezer Scrooge is the protagonist (main character) of ‘A Christmas Carol’. He is a banker or ‘moneylender’ of sorts who owned his own ‘counting house’ alongside his late business partner Jacob Marley.

In the opening of the novella, Scrooge is presented as a miserly and misanthropic (someone who dislikes other people) businessman with a strong aversion to Christmas and the society around him in general. :)

I hope this helps

ziro4ka [17]
  • The word astronauts in the sentence is functioning as the direct object.
  • Direct objects are often a noun phrase that refers to a person or thing that <u>receives</u> the action of the verb. In order to spot a direct object within a sentence, remember to ask yourself “who” or “what” is receiving the action. The answer in this case would be: <em>"the austronauts". </em>
