Explanation:

The Dutch started the colonization of America establishing trading posts and plantations. They situated the posts between the Delaware River and the Connecticut River and Hudson River. Soon the Dutch realized that trading was a bigger business than plantations and because of that they decided to establish trading posts close to the rivers, so it would lower the costs of transportation of the goods back to Europe.
