-The candidate for vice president must meet the same requirements as the president, so he could not be elected to be Vice President either.

-Each senator must be at least 30 years of age, must be a citizen of the United States for at least nine years and, finally, must have their residence (at the time of the election) in the state they seek to represent. Therefore, he could be elected as Senator.
