<span>I know that a genotype is the genetic makeup of an organism. This could include the genes which regulate the amount of rufous present (to make red hair), genes for blue eyes, and genes which restrict the amount of melanin in the epidermis (the result of which is freckles). Not sure if that information helps as I don't know the specific answer to your question. It could be either a dominate or recessive gene but I'm honestly not sure

If you selected a grey seeded plant in the F2 generation how would you determine if the plant is homozygous or heterozygous?
pishuonlain [190]

Depending on the F1 generation (parent) phenotype we can determine whether or not it is homozygous or heterozygous. Also, check to if the F2 grey seeded plant is a mixture of Black and white or if grey is a dominant color. If it is a mixture, it would make it heterozygous. If not and Grey is domminant it would make it homozygous.
