Answer:

Answer is 2. reinforcing the field.

Refer below.

Explanation:

Assume you wrap a wire around Earth’s equator at an altitude of 200 kilometers and run an electric current through it in the westerly direction. The effect on the Earth’s natural magnetic field at the Earth’s surface is reinforcing the field.

How is Earth’s structure related to the creation of continents, oceans, and mountain ranges?
tigry1 [53]
The topmost layer of the earth (aside from the atmospher) would be the crust. It is made up of tectonic plates that move in different directions. The collisons and abrasions made by these plates sliding and crashing into each other means that mountain ranges pop up like wrinkles, and continents can move around over time. This happens over millions of years.

Unsure. Although it has been proven that microorganisms can live out in space, no one has seen an organism native to planets besides Earth.

Name the reason why languages become extinct.
lesya [120]

Answer:

From a state of endangerment, many languages become extinct. When the speakers of a language are exterminated as what happened to Tasmanians in the 19th century, several languages suddenly died. Another reason for the extinction is the pressure exerted on a community to incorporate with a more powerful or larger group.

How are the land form of the eastern United States and Canada different from those of the western United States and Canada?
Marina86 [1]

The landforms on the east and western part of the continent are very different, with the main reason being that the western part is geologically very active, while the eastern lacks geological activity.

Explanation:

The eastern part of the United States and Canada, or rather the eastern part of the North American continent, is a region that lacks geological activity for millions of years. This region can roughly be divided into two parts, one being dominated by the Appalachian Mountain Range, and the other being the plains. The Appalachians are medium high mountains, being heavily eroded, with smaller slopes, and covered with dense forests. The plains stretch along the coastline, but they are also very wide, and move several hundred of km into the mainland, making big portion of this region flat lowlands.

The western part, on the other hand, is geologically very active. There are several young mountain ranges which are still growing. There is volcanic activity, faults, and plateaus between the mountains. The coastal plains are very small and narrow. Because of the shadow effect, between the mountains there are arid zones where deserts and steppes dominate.
