Suzuki Harunobu was a Japanese artist who lived between 1725 and 1770. He is considered an innovator; his style brings full-color prints and he also took elements from different areas of art, like classic poetry. Many of his contemporaries tried to imitate what he was doing.
In The Evening Bell of the Clock, Harunobu uses lines to help lead the eye to the clock located on the left of the print; it is also important to remark that the lines guides the eye to the eyes of the people in the print. He also used flat, solid color to fill shapes; he was famous for this. Finally, as seen in the bottom of the picture, he created a flattened space through a steeple tilted floor; this also seems to keep balance in the complete print, specially by pointing out how the people are located.

I believe it is unique as to how much that one painting was able to bring in, It is abstract, and very enthusiastic in what and how it looks. It shows feeling and emotion in how the artist painted. That is my personally opinion on it.
