Answer:

The equation for the situation is:

5y+2=27

where y represents the number of questions initially assigned to each student by the teacher.

On solving, we find that 5 questions were originally assigned to each student by the teacher.

Step-by-step explanation:

Question:

Five students came for after-school tutoring. Priya’s teacher assigned each of them the same number of problems to complete. Then she assigned 2 more problems to one of the students. 27 problems were assigned in all. Use y as the variable. Write an equation for the situation. Then, find the number of problems originally assigned to each by the teacher.

Given:

Total number of students = 5

Total problems assigned = 27

To find the number of problems originally assigned by the  teacher.

Solution:

Let the number of problems originally assigned by the teacher to each student be = y

If each student is assigned y questions initially.

Then, 5 students was initially assigned = 5y questions

The teacher then assigned 2 more problems to one of the students.

So, the total number of questions now assigned will be given as:

⇒ 5y+2

Total problems assigned = 27

Thus, we have:

5y+2=27

Solving for y

Subtracting both sides by 2.

5y+2-2=27-2

5y=25

Dividing both sides by 5.

\frac{5y}{5}=\frac{25}{5}

∴ y=5

Thus, each student was originally assigned = 5 questions

Answer:

Lyrics A

Step-by-step explanation:

Problem statement does not  mention anything about conditions of the test, so we dont know if the experiment was correctly done, but we know the kind of problem we are facing here is concerning a normal distribution

Then assuming the test was done by knowledgeable  people, which means:

- they got correct information from the population

-sample was big enough

- level of confidence was acceptable for the test ( approximately 95 %)         - Alternative hypothesis took into account two tails test

-Test was evaluated according to sample size

-And finally calculations were right

Under the above mentioned conditions, they  tested  the hypotesis  H₀ = μ₀ = 16 ounces and they got results that implies the acceptance of such hypothesis (that means the null hypothesis should not be rejected), and the answer is lyrics A

Beth ran a 400 meter
Sergeeva-Olga [200]
So if Beth ran the 400 meter dash in 57.2 seconds, and that time was 2.4 seconds faster than her previous time, she would have run a 59.6 second previous time. The equation would be X (current time) + Y (time difference) = Z (Previous time) we can see that her current time is 57.2 seconds, so that would replace X. We now have 57.2+Y=Z. So we can see in the problem that it was 2.4 seconds faster, so that’s the time difference. Our new equation is 57.2+2.4=Z. Now all we have to do is add 57.2 and 2.4 and you get her previous time, which is 59.6 seconds. Hope this helped! :D

Step-by-step explanation:

I can't really explain my process since some are self explanatory, but if you do have questions, always know that you can reply and I'll answer them. Also, number four is cut off so I'm not sure if there is a fill in a blank portion there.
