Answer:

It has been suppressed by Grutter v. Bollinger (2003).

Explanation:

According to the University of California v. Bakke case (1978), college applicants’ race was allowed to be a factor in the admission policy, though racial quotas were ruled as impermissible.

Meanwhile, in 2003 Grutter v. Bollinger case ended with a court's decision that admission policy that favors poorly represented ethnic minority groups does not violate the Fourteenth Amendment's Equal Protection Clause, only if the policy takes other factors, such as academic excellence, into account.

1. Briefly, what did Cavour get from Napoleon here at Plombieres?
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

Count Cavour (10 August 1810 – 6 June 1861) was a chief minister of the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia and an important figure in the process of Italian unification in the 19th century.

On 21 July 1858, he has entered into a secret agreement with, Napoleon III, the French Emperor. Though this agreement was only verbal and left no concrete evidence, it is sometimes referred to as the Treaty of Plombières.

As a result of this agreement, France and Piedmont became allies in the confrontation with Austria. Cavour received support from France with the goal to free Italian peninsula from Austrian influence and thus move further to Italian unification.

How were social categories, roles, and practices maintained or changed from 1450-1750?
Sophie [7]

Answer:

This is an essay question. You need to develop a theory about the three biggest forces in world history during that 300 year period. You should look at the movement of capital, the movement of ideas, and the movement of people. That should get you started with a tidy five para structure. You will need to gather some sources together. Happy research!
