The Bill of Rights was the first charter of rights, created and approved by the Parliament of England in 1689. It was an important democratic advance in England in the seventeenth century, as well as in the issue of individual rights. It is a watershed in structure of political power and the way of governing the country. As of the signing of the Bill of Rights, the power of the monarch would never be the same again. He was definitely submitted to the decisions of Parliament, representative of popular power.

In addition, the letter guaranteed some civil rights such as peace, freedom of expression, institutional preservation and protection of individual rights. That is, it was a document that protected the individual and society as a whole.

By underscoring the notable goodness of secular nature, the Protestant Reformation released the secular life from the limitations of a hierarchical world. As a result secular affairs including politics, economics and marriage were freed from the control of the church, and that contributed to the growth of secular movements
