The answer to your question is A. Ethos. it is one of the techniques in persuasion, people tend to listen to those who are professionals and have authority in some fields. in your case dentists know more about chewing gum so they are more convincing and more respected ad we tend to listen to them. Logos is more logical and fact base, most popular in this case of persuasion is using statistics and facts. Pathos is more of an emotional type of persuasion, it can play on fear, sadness and etc.

Explain how one complex character develops throughout the work in the Alchemist. Explain how the character has changed from the
miskamm [114]

Answer and Explanation:

Santiago is the protagonist of "O Alquimista", by Paulo Coelho. He is a complex character, since he shows a variety of thoughts and desires that do not follow a pattern of linearity within the story, but that are deep and difficult to understand many times, showing facets of personality that even Santiago himself cannot identify in Your self.

At the beginning of the story, we see that Santiago goes in search of his "personal legend" in search of his greatest desire, because he knows that whoever reaches the personal legend attains extremely valuable tessurises. He is sure that he is correct about what he wants, but with the course of history, he realizes that discovering his own desire is more difficult to find the treasure he covers. He realizes that to find out what his greatest desire is he will have to take a journey within himself and recognize all his own dimensions and yes, this is a difficult path, but the only one that is rewarding.

Does Mandela establish the main idea of his speech in the introduction?
Katarina [22]

Answer:

The purpose of Mandela's speech was not simply to address the nation as their new president and give gratitude to those who put him there but instead to make a statement that South Africa was going to make immense changes and unify to show the world what the nation could truly do in order to become a land of hope. There are a few purposes to this speech, one being to unify the nation of south Africa by bringing the blacks and the whites together. The speech was also used to motivate and inspire the people of South Africa. I know this because I've studied Mandela's life in one of my subjects at school.

The audience for this speech was the people of South Africa. He addresses every one he possibly can to broaden his audience so that every South African hears his message.

Nelson Mandela

"I stand here before you not as a prophet but as a humble servant of you, the people."

Mandela repeats the word negotiations as he wants to encourage and push for more negotiations - a thing that will bring them closer to freedom....
