Answer:

SA = 920 inches^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Data:

Slant height of square pyramid = l = 13 inches

Base edge of square pyramid = s = 20 inches

To Find Out:

Surface area of square pyramid = SA = ?

Formula:

 SA = s^{2}   +  2 * s * l

Solution:

 SA = s^{2}   +  2 * s * l

SA = 20^{2}   +  2 * 20 * 13

SA = 400  +  520

SA = 920 inches^{2}

Lizzie bought 0.8 kg of pears at €1.90 per kilogram and 1.4 kg of apples. The total cost €4.46. What was the price per kilogram
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

The the cost of 1 kg apples =  € 2.1

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount of pears bought by Lizzie  = 0.8 kg

The amount of apple bought by Lizzie  =  1.4 kg

Total amount paid  =  €4.46

Now, the cost of 1 kg pears =  €1.90 per kg

So, the cost of 0.8 kg pears  = 0.8  x (1.90)  =  €1.52

Now, let the cost of 1 kg apples =  € m

So, the cost of 1.4 kg apples  = 1.4 x ( € m)  = 1.4 m

So, the total amount = Cost of Apples + Cost of Pears

⇒                    €4.46   =  €1.52   +  1.4 m

or, 1.4 m = 4.46  - 1.52  = 2.94

⇒ m = 2.94/1.4 = 2.1

or, m = 2.1

Hence, the the cost of 1 kg apples =  € 2.1

Tiffany buys a basket of watermelons on sale for $9 before tax. The sales tax is 9% What is the total price Tiffany pays for the
Tamiku [17]
$0.81+$9.00=$9.81
Answer: $9.81

We know t<span>o find the total price, first find the amount of sales tax paid by multiplying the sales tax by the original price of the basket of watermelons.
</span><span>9%×$9=<span>?
</span></span>Percent means "out of one hundred," so <span><span><span><span>9% </span></span></span></span> is equivalent to <span>9/100 </span><span>which is also equal to 9 divided by 100.
9 divided by 100 is 0.09
</span>To find the amount of sales tax that must be paid, multiply <span><span>0.09 </span></span><span>by the original price.
So it would be 0.09*$9=$0.81
</span>
<span>To find the final price Tiffany paid, add the sales tax you just found to the original price.
$0.81+$9.00=$9.81
</span>To find the final price Tiffany paid, add the sales tax you just found to the original price.
