What did colonial women take part in to protest British tax policies

The women had an important participation in the claim for the taxes imposed by the British parliament on the colonies.  There was a great manifestation of discontent and discomfort with the British, for example, in the domestic sphere. The women, supporting the Revolution, started to promote the American Industry. Women Patriots avoided buying imported British clothes, replacing them with home-made clothes. As a patriotic act, the priority was given to American products, refusing to buy and use goods of British origin.
