Most of these problems are the commutative property:

Addition
a + b = b + a

Multiplication
a * b = b * a

and the associative property:

Addition
(a + b) + c = a + (b + c)

Multiplication
(a * b) * c = a * (b * c)

There's also the Identity property:

Addition \ Subtraction:
a + 0 = a \ a - 0 = a

Multiplication \ Division:
a * 1 = a \ a / 1 = a

there are three oranges in 200g of bag . if the weight of them with bag is 1.4kg. find the weight of an orange.i want full metho
Lana71 [14]

the bag is 200g

total weight with oranges is 1400g

deduct the bags weight from total weight

1400 - 200

1200g

this is the weight of the three oranges

so each orange would be

1200 ÷ 3

400g

What is the line of symmetry for the parabola whose equation is y = -x2 + x + 3?
iVinArrow [24]
Alright so if I do remember my math correctly, this is how it goes:

- y = -x^2 + x + 3

- x = -b/2a

- x = -1/2(-1)

- x = -1/-2, which = (1/2)

Not quite sure if this was correct, but if it was, hope this helps and you're welcome! :)

  • [Right Triangles Only] Pythagorean Theorem: a² + b² = c²

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Identify

Leg a = x

Leg b = 5

Hypotenuse c = 8

Step 2: Solve for x

  1. Substitute [PT]:                     x² + 5² = 8²
  2. Isolate x term:                       x² = 8² - 5²
  3. Exponents:                            x² = 64 - 25
  4. Subtract:                               x² = 39
  5. Isolate x:                               x = √39

What is the equation of the following line written in slope-intercept form?
adelina 88 [10]

Answer:

y = 5x

Step-by-step explanation:

The y intercept is 0 since it crosses the y axis at 0

The slope is rise over run

From (0,0) we go up 5 and to the right 1

5/1 = 5

Slope = 5

The slope intercept equation is

y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = 5x+0

y = 5x
