Answer

A. It became the foundation of law for most modern European nations.

Explanation

The Justinian Code was implemented 1500 years ago that brought together laws and codes which changed the Roman Empire to form the sole authority for law in the time of emperor Justinian. The code included laws and legal terms including law information that was  used to study law. This code influenced the laws in Byzantine and the Roman Catholic Church’s ideas on law. Many laws in the western nations are formed based on the ancient Roman laws. For example, according to the Justinian Code, a person is innocent until proven guilty-which is one of a familiar law code in most western nations. This is to mean that Justinian code influenced modern laws.

One of the “don’ts” in analyzing or evaluating a primary source is to avoid recreating the
Elanso [62]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

One of the “don’ts” in analyzing or evaluating a primary source is to avoid recreating the author’s experience of his society.

No, I don't agree with this statement because I consider that in order to truly understand the primary source, a good researcher has to understand the circumstance and the time in which the primary source was created.

This means, if it was during a war or a revolutionary period, the researcher has to understand and think as the author of the source did.

ANd I am clear using my words: understand. Not biasing the records, the facts, or misinterpret the situation, the context, or the facts.
