The Justinian Code was implemented 1500 years ago that brought together laws and codes which changed the Roman Empire to form the sole authority for law in the time of emperor Justinian. Many laws in the western nations are formed based on the ancient Roman laws. For example, according to the Justinian Code, a person is innocent until proven guilty-which is one of a familiar law code in most western nations. This is to mean that Justinian code influenced modern laws.
