The Warren Supreme Court overturned the Plessy vs. Ferguson ruling because they believed it violated the 14th amendment rights of African American citizens.

The Plessy vs. Ferguson case established that "separate but equal" facilities for black and white citizens was legal. However, this changed with the ruling in the Brown vs. Board of Education court case. The judges in the Supreme Court during this 1954 ruling stated that "separate but equal is inherently unequal." This would lead to the beginning of desegregated schools within American society.

A) According to Fishman, what are the effects of Wal-Mart’s business model on consumers, suppliers, workers, and their communiti
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

According to Fishman, Wal-Marts business model effects suppliers, workers, and their communities. This occurs because the store was striving to keep their costs as low as possible. The idea of having the lowest costs quickly spread from the company to the suppliers because in order to provide the customers the lowest price the company has to be able to buy the goods at the lowest price. As the company grew in size, they worked to exhaust every method that could possibly save them pennies on materials, packaging, labor, transportation, and display. This became know as the "Wal-Mart effect"

This business model reflects the problems generally associated with globalization that are commonly cited by critics because it all depends on the manufacturers making and selling the cheapest products possible. These manufacturers are found all over the world which creates the global business model. Just like other models, if one part stops working as it is supposed to all the other parts would be affected, so if one countries production or overall revenue decreased than the whole world would be affected.

How does the shift to clean energy economy affects today's poor and working-class?
allochka39001 [22]

Answer: Renewables provide several benefits for people in poverty. For one, new jobs would be created inside the countries installing and maintaining the systems. By bringing the energy sector within countries, governments will no longer be reliant on imports and will be able to redirect funds into social programs that will better benefit the poor. Renewables such as solar panels could be easily implemented in rural areas without the need to invest in expansive transmission lines. Essentially, renewables could easily bring electricity to impoverished people in a very short amount of time. Businesses could thrive by being able to stay open longer, and children could spend more time studying rather than collecting fuel to cook with.

Greece religion introduction
Amanda [17]
The Greeks had a polytheistic religion. They had these stranger gods that were created to explain supernatural events. Things like the god of war, nature, sea, or fire. They had religious offerings toward the gods. The people built colosseums and altars just for the individual gods. They also believed the gods punished them for so and so. The Romans adapted similar gods and almost had the same religion as Greeks.

How did Bantu languages impact the formation of sub-Saharan empires in Africa?
coldgirl [10]

Bantu languages were the languages used in the whole sub Saharan Africa.

Explanation:

Bantu people of the sub Sahara territory were migrants and they migrated across the whole continent below Sahara.

They took their language with them and often became the ruling lass of the places they would reach and thus it was something that bound these empires together.

The empires that were formed used the Bantu tongue for a long time and they were also ethnically related thus.

The Bantu people were thus the ones that would migrate and rule the Sub Saharan region.
