Explanation:

CDKs are also known as cyclin dependent kinase. They are the signaling molecules that play a significant role in controlling the process of cell cycle. CDKs function only when it is bound to cyclin which is another class of regulatory proteins. In order to become fully active, the CDKs are supposed to bind to a cyclin molecule and also get phosphorylated by different kinase. Once the CDKs get activated, it signals the cell to pass on to the next step and thus the cell division continues.
