Fossils, they show us many different things, for example dinosaur bones show us how they acted in the past, and links to what animals that are still alive today. Second, is that fossils, human fossils turn into Carbon to which makes diamonds and coal to help us in everyday life. And finally, Fossils show us how living things have changed over the years.

I hope that helps, to be honest I'm not good at science either but I hope you get better soon..

Which is a phenomenon that can result from directional selection? a. There is an increase in the number of different breeds of d
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

B) There is an increase in the number of giraffes with long necks in areas of Africa where low-growing trees have died

Explanation:

The directional selection is one of the ways of the natural selection in which the natural selection selects or favours the most extreme trait of the species and the extreme trait show higher fitness than the normal or average trait.

In the given question, the case of Giraffe necks shows directional selection as the normal length of the neck is not favoured by the environment but the extreme trait that is long neck is favoured by the environment and the selection shifted to that level.

Thus, Option-B is the correct answer.

Which of the following does NOT help increase conversion of short-term to long-term memories?
Contact [7]

Answer:

Memory consolidation

Explanation:

Short term memory is stored in the brain for relatively short period of time especially for few minutes. Long term memory is stored in brain for long period ( years or lifetime).

Short term memory can be converted into the long term memory by association, rehearsal and involved with emotional state. Memory consolidation is the process of learning new things and store them in previously stored memories. Hence, memory consolidation does not increase the conversion of short memory to long term memory.

Thus, the correct answer is option (1).
