Which was the most common form of resistance among enslaved people?
elena-s [515]
One form of resistance was slowing down the picking of cotton.  Slaves would intentionally go slower so that they could have an easier time in the fields.  This was combatted by the Southern Plantation owners after a while by whipping the slaves severely during their first picks and then mandating that they had to pick at least as much cotton every time after.

Another form of resistance was to run away.  The Underground Railroad helped thousands of slaves escape to the north and to freedom.

Which statement best explains why tension grew between European leaders over colonialism in Africa?
Lorico [155]

The statement that best explains why tension grew between European leaders over colonialism in Africa is: "Some were angered because other nations took over their colonies." Option D is correct.

Between the 1870s and 1900, Africa coped to European imperialist aggression, diplomatic pressures, military invasions, and eventual conquest and colonization.

The European imperialist push into Africa was motivated by three main factors, economic, political, and social.
