Answer:

During the first half of the millennium I a. The Phoenician ships crossed the Mediterranean tirelessly from their place of origin, on the Syrian-Lebanese coastline, until they reached the Strait of Gibraltar. At the time they made possible an unprecedented economic and cultural exchange between the peoples of the East and the West. To support their newly launched routes they created factories and settlements along the coast, from Cyprus to Cadiz, passing through Sicily, Sardinia and North Africa, which over time became authentic cities. When Phenicia fell, one of these colonies, Carthage, would take over and keep the Phoenician spirit alive, albeit with its own personality, for several more centuries.

What event that was an attempt for states to resolve their differences came directly before the Constitutional Convention?
Fiesta28 [93]

The event that was an attempt for states to resolve their differences before the Constitutional Convention was the Annapolis Convention.

Explanation

The Annapolis Convention was held in Annapolis (Maryland), on September 11-14, in 1786 and it was created to discuss, develop and remove the trade barriers that each state had established since the government had no power to regulate trade between the states.

Only twelve delagates from five states attended the convention (New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Delaware) and it failed to accomplished its purpose, but the recommendations made by the delagates were later adopted by the U.S Congress.

Explain what plebiscite is and how Napoleon used it to his advantage when consolidating power
viktelen [127]

Answer:

Plebiscites are seen as a way for a government to go directly to the people, bypassing intermediaries such as political parties. After the Revolution of 1789, the plebiscite was popular in France because it was seen as an expression of popular sovereignty. In 1804, a plebiscite made Napoleon emperor.
