Answer: Mitosis

Remember, mitosis is the process where a single cell divides resulting in generally two identical cells, each containing the same number of chromosomes and genetic content as that of the original cell.

If you're interested in the stages

Mitosis:

1. Interphase- Two sister chromatids centrosomes have replicated.

2. Prophase- Chromosomes condense, and spindle apparatus begins to form.

3. Prometaphase- Nuclear envelope breaks down. Microtubules contact chromosomes at kinetochores.

4. Metaphase- Chromosomes complete migration to middle of cell.

5. Anaphase- Sister chromatids separate into daughter chromosomes, which are pulled to opposite poles of spindle apparatus.

6. Telophase- Nuclear envelope re-forms, and chromosomes de-condense.

Cytokinesis:

1. Cell division begins- Actinmyosin ring causes plasma membrane to begin inching in.

2. Cell division is complete- Two daughter cells form.

A lot of information, but good to know.

Good luck!

Answer;

Mitosis

Mitosis is the cellular process that enables the cells to grow and develop into tissue.

Explanation;

 • Mitosis is a type of cellular division which takes place in the body cells where a parent cell divides to two daughter cells that are identical to the parent cell.
 • Mitosis plays various important roles in living organisms which includes; asexual reproduction in single-celled organisms such as amoeba. It is also important in growth of animal and plant by creating cells necessary to add more mass to the body of a plant or animals.
 • Additionally, mitosis plays an important role in tissue repair. This takes place when organisms are injured to replace damaged tissues.
