Answer:

Option: D. It cooled very slowly.

Explanation:

Iceland is known as the Land of Fire. The country is present in the plate boundary of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Being on the top of the Ring of Fire, it has active volcanoes. Hexagonal basalt columns formed from a volcanic eruption. Basalt columns are the result of a cooling process that changes the appearance of the lava. Basalt is a volcanic rock rich in iron and magnesium created from the heated magma that emerges as lava during an eruption.

The photograph given below is from Icelandic national park Jokulsargljufur.

fracture zones allow old, oceanic crust to be subducted by continental crust.

The study of the location of fracture zones has provided evidence to support the theory of plate tectonics because fracture zones are the zones where new oceanic crust is formed, allowing old oceanic crust to be subducted by continental crust, thus creating a circle in the crust that is a piece of evidence in support of the theory of plate tectonics.

How do the amount of daylight hours differ between the Poles and the
julsineya [31]

Answer:

· While changes in daytime length are relatively minimal in the equator throughout the year, the difference is more pronounced for places in higher latitudes. And when it comes to the north and south poles, the difference is literally night and day as the sun only rises and sets once a year there.he normal amount of solar radiation decreases from the equator to the poles. This is due to the low latitudes (near the Equator there are relatively large amounts of radiation throughout the year and in the high latitudes (near the poles), the angle of inclination of the rays of the sun next to the long periods of darkness in winter , resulting in a low amount of radiation in those areas.
