which one of the following sentences is written in the active voice? A. accidents are considered by most people as unavoidable.
Mumz [18]

B. few people think seriously of doing something about accidents.

There are two main things to keep in mind when trying to determine whether a sentence is written in the passive voice or if it is written in the active voice. First, passive voice is when the subject has the action done to it, and active voice is when the subject does the action. Second, passive voice will always have linking/helping verbs. That said, answers, “A,” “C,” and “D” have the action being done to the subject, and all three have linking/helping verbs in the form of “are” and “be.” “B” is the only answer where the subject (in this case, “people”) is doing the action of “think” and has not linking/helping verbs.

Mary Rowlandson's autobiographical work, A Narrative of the Captivity, describes her experiences as a prisoner of the Native Ame
Lelu [443]

The best insight to life during the late 1600s, especially in the Colonies, is the uncertainty of life, how at the time nobody could take anything for granted.

Rowlandson learns from the attack that no one is guaranteed life, no life is above the mishaps of existence (which were even more plentiful at that time) and life can be short and brutal.

Nonetheless, another aspect of the story that offers a powerful insight into life at that time is her unwavering faith in God's will. Throughout the whole experience, Rowlandson keeps her faith and perceives everything that happens into a blessing or a doing of God.

What details from, “Cinderella, the legend” support the authors claim that the Cinderella story fits the Protestant ethic?
Nat2105 [25]

"Cinderella, The Legend" fits the Protestant ethic because the moral principle in this fairy tale is that good fortune can be merited. The story shows sibling rivalries and in some way sex-role stereotyping. It is an interesting fable about socialization. In Cinderella, the author conveys the idea that virtue will be rewarded whereas evil will be punished.
