Answer:

Swahili culture - East africa

Egyptian civilization - Nile river

West african civilization - Niger river

Explanation:

  • The Swahili culture is the culture of the Swahili people that inhabit the Swahii Coast located in East Africa in today’s Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Mozambique. This culture is the product of the history of the coastal part of the African Great Lakes region.
  • The Egyptian civilization developed along the Nile River because the river had annual flooding that made possible to them to grow crops. The Nile River made possible for Egyptians to have a surplus of food and then it led to urbanization and even develop a non-agricultural economic activity.
  • The Niger River is the main river of Western Africa, it has 2,600 miles. It offered civilizations of West Africa man opportunities, it facilitated movement between West Africa’s major population centers making trade easier between West African Kingdoms. It also fuelled the fields for agriculture, nations were able to produce crops.

Explain how basic industries grow a region's economy jobs
lana66690 [7]

Basic industries are those exporting from the region and bringing wealth from outside, while nonbasic (or service) industries support basic industries. Because of data problems it is not practical to study industry output and trade flows to and from a region. As an alternative, the concepts of basic and nonbasic are operationalized using employment data.

The basic industries of a region are identified by comparing employment in the region to national norms. If the national norm for employment in, for example, Egyptian woodwind manufacturing is 5 percent and the region's employment is 8 percent, then 3 percent of the region's woodwind employment is basic. Once basic employment is identified, the outlook for basic employment is investigated sector by sector and projections made sector by sector. In turn, this permits the projection of total employment in the region. Typically the basic/nonbasic employment ratio is about 1:1. Extending by manipulation of data and comparisons, conjectures may be made about population and income. This is a rough, serviceable procedure, and it remains in use today. It has the advantage of being readily operationalized, fiddled with, and understandable.

Answer: Moscow

Explanation:

The Mongols took over what then could be considered as Russia when they destroyed Kiev in the early 13th century and imposed absolute rule on the Russians.

They then established Moscow as a centre of power and encouraged people to migrate to it because they thought it safe.

Under the Mongols there was much religious freedom and cultural activities were allowed to continue unabated. Huge tributes needed to be paid however.
