Answer:

Hello!

First you have to find the rate between the amount of students surveyed by the total amount

You do this by dividing the total amount of students by the amount of students surveyed

1500 / 50 = 30

We multiply the amount of students that have a pet by this number

32 * 30 = 960

The answer is B)960

Hope this helps!

Give an example of a polynomial that has the asymptotes of x=5 and y=0.5
BaLLatris [955]
(x²+4x+3)/2(x²-10x+25)

the horizontal asymptote when the numerator and the denominator have the same degree (in this case, both of a degree of 2) is ration of the coefficients of the numerator and denominator. In this case, the coefficient for numerator x² is 1, and the coefficient for the denominator 2x² is 2, so the horizontal asymptote is y=1/2=0.5

the vertical asymptote is the x value. the denominator cannot be zero, if x²-10x+25=0, x would be 5, so the vertical asymptote is x=5

this is just one example. There can be others:
(2x²+5x+2)/[(4x-7)(x-5)] for another example, but this example has a second vertical asymptote 4x-7=0 =>x=7/4

Which calculations perform on the calculator will yelled in answer that is approximately the same as 76 ÷ 19/25? Check all that
Zinaida [17]

first:76 ÷ 19/25=100

a:80 / 20 * 1 / 25 =0.16

b:80 * 5/4 =100

c:80 / 5 ÷ 1 / 4 =64

d:80 * 5/4 =100

e:80 * 4/5 =64

So I think both B and D should be the right answer

-5c+5c+2c–6c–12c-16 16=c
daser333 [38]

Step-by-step explanation:

-5c+5c+2c–6c–16=c

-16c - 16=c

-16 = c + 16c

-16 = 17c

-16/17 = c

Would someone be able to tell me how to factorise? step by step??
CaHeK987 [17]
1. Factor out the greatest common factor (GCF). (There will not always be one). 2. Count the number of terms.
3. Check to be sure each factor is prime, if not, repeat 1-3.
4. Check by multiplying the factors out to see if you get the original polynomial.

Island A is 150 miles from island B. A ship captain travels 240 miles from island A and then finds that he is off course and 200
Stells [14]
We know that
Applying the law of cosines:

c² = a² + b² - 2abcos(C)
where:
a,b and c are sides of the triangle and C is the angle opposite side c

that is
150² = 240² + 200² - 2(240)(200)cos(C)

solve for C

22,500 = 57,600 + 40,000 - 96,000cos(C)
22,500-57,600-40,000 = -96,000cos(C)
-75,100=-96,000cos (C)
cos (C)=0.7822916
C=arc cos(0.7822916)--------> C=38.53°°

hence,
he should turn in the direction of island b by
