Read the passage. I left the port city early in the morning. The boat was loaded with wood, spices, and perfumes from lands acro

ss the sea. Raising our sails, we caught the wind and sailed the mighty Nile. At one market, I bartered for more linen and grains. At another, we obtained oil and wine. At the next, salt. Yes, we needed that. I watched another merchant amble away, his donkeys pulling carts filled with jars and bundles. I had farther to go, too. I thanked the river for speeding my journey. Its waters were low, and I watched workers turning lumber like ours into new boats along its banks. In a few days, we would reach Aswan. There, we would trade for gold and animal skins. Perhaps we would find new things, too, before turning around and beginning the trip anew. What was the importance of the Nile River as described in this passage? The Nile River was used to transport many trade goods. Only non-food goods could be transported on the Nile River. People relied only on the current of the Nile River to move their boats. The Nile River was used for transportation when the water was at its highest.

Is the desert sand closer in composition and in the degree of rounding and sorting as the river sand or the beach sand and why
kondaur [170]

Answer:

The three sand are similar in composition, since all are formed 90% by quartz. They are also similar in roundness, as they all have large particles that allow a very sandy soil with low water retention.

Explanation:

The desert area of the river and the beach have a very similar composition, since 90% of these sands are composed of quartz. however, the similarity does not mean that these sands are the same, as they are not, since the sands of the beach and the river may have a little more material, such as animal remains, making these sands also have carbon in composition, something that desert sand has in less quantity.

In addition, both sands have large particles that promote strong aeration in the soil, but a very rapid loss of organic matter.

Why are there no translations of Olmec writing? I'm in 7th grade please help me ASAP!
love history [14]

Answer:

Olmec hieroglyphs (alternatively Olmec glyphs, Olmec writing, or Olmec script) designate a possible system of writing or proto-writing developed within the Olmec culture. The Olmecs were the earliest known major Mesoamerican civilization, flourishing during the formative period (1500 BCE to 400 BCE) in the tropical lowlands of the modern-day Mexican states of Veracruz and Tabasco.[1] The subsequent Epi-Olmec culture (300 BCE to 250 CE), was a successor culture to the Olmec and featured a full-fledged writing system, the Isthmian (or Epi-Olmec) script.
