What happened to the USS Cole after it was the subject of a terrorist attack in 2000? It sank in the Gulf at the Yemeni port of

Aden after the attack. The damage could not be repaired, and it was returned to its homeport in Virginia. It was repaired and later used during the Iraq War in 2006. The damage was not significant, so it sailed to Pascagoula, Mississippi, for inspection.
