Half.

If a soccer team is going to score a goal with a probability of p, then p/2 will give the probability of scoring in the first half.

<span>This is simple enough to prove, since scoring in the first half and scoring in the second half are totally independent of each other, and equally likely.

I hope my answer has come to your help. Have a nice day ahead and may God bless you always!

nikitadnepr [17]
Since there are 9 hockey cards per page and it holds 900 hockey cards you can multiply 9 by 68 to get the total of 612 hockey cards. Then take 900 and subtract 612 from it and you should get 288 hockey cards in the album. Then divide that number by 9 to get the total number of pages filled 288/9=32 pages filled

A 5000 seat theater has tickets for sale at 26 and 40. How many tickets should be sold at each price for a sellout performance t
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

The number of tickets for sale at $26 should be 3300

The number of tickets for sale at $40 should be 1700

Step-by-step explanation:

Use 2 equations to represent the modifiers within the problem:

5000 = a + b \\ 153800 = 26a + 40b

Now you want to find the point at which the variables are changed to make both equations correct, this can be done by graphing and finding the intersection of both lines.

5000 = 3300 + 1700 \\ 153800 = 26(3300) + 40(1700)

Alexei wants to hang a mirror in his boat and put a frame around it. The mirror and frame must have an area of 19.25 square feet
zhuklara [117]

Let

x---------> the thickness of the frame in feet

At-------> Area of the mirror and the frame in square feet

we know that

At=19.25ft^{2} ------> equation 1

At=(3+2x)*(5+2x)\\ At=3*5+3*2x+5*2x+2x*2x\\ At=15+6x+10x+4x^{2} \\ At=4x^{2} +16x+15--------> equation 2

equate equation 1 and equation 2

19.25=4x^{2} +16x+15\\ 4x^{2} +16x+15-19.25=0\\ 4x^{2} +16x-4.25=0

therefore

the answer is the option

C. 4x2 + 16x - 4.25 = 0
