The town of Vanderhoof is the geographical center of British Columbia in Canada. It is also the district municipality. The roughly estimated population of the town is about 4500. The main source of income of the people of this town comes from agriculture, forest industry and the industries that are related to the ones mentioned. Mining is also an important economic activity of the people of the town of Vanderhoof. New mines have come up recently and helped to improve the economic status of the people living in the town of Vanderhoof. Nechako Valley Secondary School is one of the major secondary schools of this town.
