. He was asked to account for his presence at the scene of crime.
kumpel [21]

Answer:

  1. c. explain
  2. d. wonderful

Explanation:

The questions would like to know the most relevant synonym of the word underlined.

The word underlined in the first question is "account". Account can have several meanings such as a bank feature that lets you keep money with them, your side of a story or an explanation of sorts. In this case it is an explanation as the man in question was being asked to explain why he was at the scene of the crime.

For the second question, the underlined word is "fantastic". The relevant synonym would have to be "wonderful" because when something is said to be fantastic, it means that it is positively very much above average which is another way of saying wonderful.

Differentiate between cyberbullying, cyber wellness and cyber cyber safety
soldier1979 [14.2K]
Cyberbullying is done with the use of the internet or texting, which can be done in-person or not. Non-cyberbullying is done without the use of the internet or texting and can also be done in-person or not. Either can involve speaking directly to the victim or targeting him/her through others. It’s essentially a more technological way of doing what some have been doing for decades. Instead of targeting him/her verbally or on paper, the perpetrator does it with a computer or phone. Instead of getting a rumor going throughout the school that so-and-so said/did such-and-such, the perpetrator posts it online or sends it by phone, whether under his/her own name or through a fake page under the victim’s name.

"There is no act more wretched than stealing" (Hosseini 18). Do you agree? Why or why not? If you could name one rule by which t
Anna11 [10]

Answer: I do not agree with that statement, stealing usually stems from the lack of something in someone’s life. So I would be able to reason why someone would do it. The one rule that I believe is important to live by is to be reliable. The people around you will benefit from you and hopefully you yourself would see many benefits from it. I don’t believe that a person can live only by one rule, I feel that there needs to be many rules we all live by so that we can get along with one another as smoothly as possible.

Which of the following statements uses evidence to support an interpretation?
vitfil [10]

Answer:

A. When Diego hesitates to confront Ian, it suggests that he still fears his old enemy.

Explanation:

The interpretation is given when the speaker claims that he ( Diego ) has some fears and these are caused by an old friend of his, Ian. This interpretation is reinforced by the verb " suggests ".The evidence is present when the speaker describes Diego's attitude towards Ian: he is not determined to face Ian .
