The doctrine of "Respondeat Superior" is a doctrine in an Agency relationship that makes the principal answerable or liable for the wrongful actions of the agent within the scope of his/her authority. For the principal to indemnify or reimburse the agent for out of pocket expenses, we talk about reimbursement of indemnity, which is usually part of the Agent's consideration in an agency relationship.
