´The Red Army , successfully expelled German troops controlling Belarus in the spring of 1944, and later Poland in the Eastern Front after marching victoriously from Stalingrad .

The operation succeeded in killing or capturing the remaining German divisions in less than 2 weeks. Germans facing a massive army with greater moral many surrendered, the red army soon advanced to Warsaw,

Stalin called the civilians to rise against the fascists. When 2 months of heavy fighting in Warsaw occurred, Germans wiped the city out. The Warsaw Ghetto rebelled. The initiative was fueled by Polish nationalists and the Soviet army that approached the cities to liberate the captives.

One of the reasons for the success of Allies in general accounting for the German failure, as German troops were sent to the Western Front. The German s fighting two fronts. were unable to cope with numerous soldiers of the Red Army and the German officials were skeptical about Hitler's stubborn vision.
