In literature, antagonists are the character or character that opposes the main character usually by stopping the character from achieving a certain goal or creating the main conflict of the story. Because of this, the actions of the antagonist usually affect the actions of the main character and during the story, there is a struggle between the main character and the antagonist. However, not all the antagonist are necessarily evil or bad people because they can have good reasons to oppose the main character or the main character might even be the evil one.
