American revolution could not have been won without the continental forces. The Americans needed the support of Britain's enemies in order to win its independence. Countries like Spain and France helped Americans win the war.

Countries like Spain and France were Britain's enemies. They joined forces with America to push Britain out of its way. The European countries provided sufficient food and ammunitions to the Americans to help out America.

If it were not for the Europeans the Americans would not have been able to win the war as the way they did.
