A. land owners

Though the Europeans and the Japanese both had some form of fighting force, neither was directly referred to as the military. The "Church" - when it's capitalized - refers to the Catholic Church, something that was not at all very prevalent in Japan. Confucius scholars were typically Chinese as that's where the movement started. It wasn't until much later Confucianism was brought to Japan and the Europeans never really followed it at all.

Should Americans’ rights be protected by the states they live in, and not by the federal government?
astra-53 [7]

The “privileges and immunities clause” contained in Article IV, Section 2, provides, “The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens of several states.” This limits the ability of states to favor their own citizens and discriminate against out-of-state citizens with respect.

How do I compare human rights from back then to today?
777dan777 [17]
Generally, in America, and many other civilized countries, African Americans were once thought less than humans, property. We have made great advancements in human rights, the 14th, 15th, 16th amendments to the constitution gave black men freedoms and rights to vote, female rights came later. Now in modern day civilized countries, we are all born with basic inalienable rights protected not only by the United States constitution, but also the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
