The rabbits were unusually spry that afternoon. They kept starting up all about us, and dashing off down the draw as if they wer

e playing a game of some kind. But the little buzzing things that lived in the grass were all dead – all but one. While we were lying there against the warm bank, a little insect of the palest, frailest green hopped painfully out of the buffalo grass and tried to leap into a bunch of bluestem. He missed it, fell back, and sat with his head sunk between his long legs, his antennae quivering, as if he were waiting for something to come and finish him.
Which theme is best supported by the descriptive detail in this passage from My Antonia?

The prairie is a place filled with life.
There is a tension between life and death on the prairie.
Rabbits, like people, must cope with life’s hardships.
All living things on the prairie worry about predators.

To protect their son, they left him in the hand of great wizards. As he grew up his “mother and father” had noticed that he was the prince of darkness and light. When Jason was five, his magic got out of control and he killed both of the great wizards.

He then vowed to never use his magic against unless he has to. 15 years later. “Hey, killer boy.” said the bullied. “I am not a killer!” Jason screamed. “Take this.” The bullied said. As he throws a deadly fireball at him. Jason jump out the way. He caught it and threw it back at the bullied. “Jason, that could have killed him,” said Mr. Jake the head of the school. “I don’t care,” Jason said.
